Description
In case of emergency, if you fall overboard, the striped Fileuse d’Arvor beanie will probably save your life*. If you don’t fall into the sea, or if it’s not striped, the gentle heat it will provide to your head will save your life in a different way, by softening it.
Knitted with a wool more virgin than the islands of the same name, the striped beanie is made, as always, in the Quimper workshops.
The Fileuse d’Arvor knits for sailors are the most seamen-like, Breton and centenary.
*The (french) Navy adopted stripes long time ago, as a security measure, because a striped sailor is far easier to spot when drowning in the waves than a non striped sailor.
